Tackling issues important to you, pushing for change and holding leaders accountable, looking out for your safety and your money. Adrian Gonzales is expected to appear before a judge today and plead not guilty to 29 charges of child endangerment and abandonment. UVALDE , Texas - Adrian Gonzales , the former Uvalde CISD police officer criminally charged for his role and response during the May 2022 massacre, made his first court appearance Thursday morning.
Cameras were not allowed inside the courtroom; but families, the public, and the media were as Gonzales made his not-guilty plea. For most of Thursday morning, the road leading to the courthouse was blocked off to the public by several law enforcement agencies. Which lead some of the families to wonder: Why the heavy police presence?
This time, Gonzales did have to walk by our cameras. We asked him questions as he was escorted to a truck.
