Vavic was accused of getting two fake recruits into USC, taking $250k and getting other coaches involved in the"Operation Varsity Blues" scandal.The 13-time national coach of the year was arrested on March 12, 2019 and charged with fraud and bribery -- the only coach to stand trial rather than taking a plea deal.
His trial began three years later ... and on Friday, the Boston federal jury found the 60-year-old guilty of conspiracy to commit mail, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery.who was sentenced to two months in prison while her fashion designer husband, Giannulli, received five months.
