Daily News | Former Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer joins National Constitution Center board as co-chair
Recently retired Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer has been named the honorary co-chair of the National Constitution Center’s board of trustees, where he joins Justice Neil Gorsuch, who has served in that position since 2019.
“I am honored to join the National Constitution Center in its efforts to educate Americans about the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law,”. “The nonpartisan work of the National Constitution Center is essential, and I look forward to working with Justice Gorsuch to promote civil dialogue and debate.”
Previous chairs include Presidents Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. The pair’s collaboration to further the center’s goal of “nonpartisan constitutional education and civil dialogue” is important “in this polarized time,” center president and CEO Jeffrey Rosen said.
