Justin Fields is back on the field just one day after going down with a toe injury.

After the initial diagnosis, head coach Aaron Glenn said it was unclear how long Fields would be out, but it appears the injury was minor enough that the team did not have to worry. The injury saw Fields get stepped on during a play in the team’s 11-on-11 period, which Glenn promptly ended following Fields’ injury. Fields is in his first season with the Jets, after previously playing for the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Ohio State star was drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Bears. After spending three years in Chicago, Fields was traded to the Steelers ahead of the 2024 season. Last year, he appeared in 10 games for the Steelers, completing a career-high 65.8 percent of his passes. Fields threw for 1,106 yards and 5 touchdowns, with 1 interception during his one season in Pittsburgh. He also rushed for 289 yards and 5 scores.
