McIntosh passed away at an Umhlanga hospital after suffering from cancer.
He was known as a driving force behind the Sharks.McIntosh coached the national team between 1993-1994 where he oversaw 12 Tests with a record of 4 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses, leaving his position following a 2-0 series loss to the All Blacks.
' The Sharks April 5, 2023 The 84-year-old won the Currie Cup 4 times, including the Sharks first ever triumph in 1990.
