Maria Ramirez has launched her own marketing and artist service company.
, who for years headed marketing efforts at Sony Music Colombia in multiple positions, has launched her own marketing and artist service company. Queen Street Talent is based in Bogota and has Colombian star and Sony artist Andrés Cepeda as one of its first clients.
Ramírez will also continue working with Sony Music Colombia as a consultant. Ramírez, who has worked 25 years in the music industry, started her career in Sony as Director of international product in 2004. In 2007, she headed Day One, Sony’s booking and management division at the time, and in 2010 she went on to head regional marketing for the Andean region . In 2018, she launched Sony Colombia’s Artist Export division, coordinating the overseas releases of artsits like Cepeda, Monsieur Periné and Vicente García.
With Queen Street, Ramírez has come full circle. The company is named after "my favorite street in the world, Queen Street in Toronto, where I first started working in the music business," she said.
