The former Washington Huskies tight end returns after being waived at the end of training camp.
Not necessarily Seattle Seahawks news, but definitely some Seattle football news here. Former University of Washington and Seattle Seahawks tight end, Jack Westover was signed to the New England Patriots practice squad on Wednesday, per the NFL’s transaction wire. Westover was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Washington by the Seattle Seahawks back in May. However, Westover failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp.
After this latest move on August 30, the now healthy Westover was free to sign with any team. It took only a few weeks for the former Husky to find a new team, the Patriots. Though Westover’s time as a Seahawks was brief, he surely left an impact on the team. This was seen as teammates of his credited Westover with helping them learn the new playbook from another former Huskies and now current Seahawks offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb.
