The newest addition to the cast of “ Shark Tank ” has ties to San Antonio . Daniel Lubetzsky , a businessman and philanthropist who attended Trinity University and later founded KIND Snacks, made his debut on the popular ABC Network reality TV series Friday, replacing Mark Cuban on the panel of sharks who sniff out investment opportunities — or reject them — from a parade of entrepreneurial hopefuls. Trinity professor promotes compassion Interviewed on The View, Lubetzsky discussed the need to “teach kids about financial literacy” in order to break inter-generational cycles of poverty. “As they get older, the mistakes get bigger,” he said. While at Trinity, Lubetzky started a watch company called Da’Leky Times that “taught me a ton about business and retail merchandising that has helped me throughout my career,” he wrote in a 2019 post on Facebook after visiting the university.
