Former rugby boss Jurie Roux leave to appeal R37m payback decision dismissed
Former rugby boss Jurie Roux was denied leave to appeal in the latest saga involving Stellenbosch University's R37 million damages claim against him.
Roux was found to have shunted money out of the university into four accounts under his control for the university's rugby club, Maties, to pay off some students' debt, and throw parties for the rugby club, under the guise of sponsorship.
