Joey Votto has finally landed a spot to attempt to make a Major League Baseball team in 2024.

The 40-year-old Votto played 17 seasons for the Reds, but the team declined a $20 million option for 2024, and paid him a $7 million buyout to part ways. In 8,746 career plate appearances with the Reds, Votto amassed 2,135 hits and belted 356 homers. His career slash line is .294/.409/.511. His .920 career OPS ranks 52nd in MLB history.
