Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Jack Sherman, who played on the band's debut album, has died at 64.
"Love to sherm," Flea wrote."I’m so sorry for you guys’ loss. Like every past and present member of RHCP, he brought a unique flavor and his contributions won’t be forgotten 💕" wrote Instagram user @amarin___93.
Fashion photographer David Mushegain, who has worked extensively with the band and published the book, Sherman replaced guitarist Hillel Slovak in late 1983 before Slovak, a founding member of the group, returned in 1985. Afterwards, Sherman contributed to two more Red Hot Chili Peppers releases: "The Abbey Road EP" and"Mother's Milk."
