Trump was only in the Fulton County Jail for minutes before being released on a $200,000 bond.
Former President Donald Trump was booked in the Fulton County Jail on Thursday, more than a week after he was indicted for a scheme to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
Trump arrived in Atlanta Thursday evening after a short flight from New Jersey, where he has a home. Upon arriving, Trump was driven to the Fulton County Jail for processing.All of the defendants face at least one count of violating the state's Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Any of the defendants found guilty on that count would be subject to a minimum prison sentence of five years.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has requested that the trial for all 19 defendants begin on Oct. 23.
