UNC Football Adds to Transfer Haul with Former Prairie View A&M Offensive Tackle
William Boone, a former one-year Prairie View A&M offensive tackle , committed to the UNC football program on Sunday. Boone, a 6-foot-7, 340-pound lineman, played 11 games this season and has two years of eligibility remaining. He spent time at New Mexico Military Institute and Kilgore College before transferring to Prairie View A&M last year. Boone is a three-star transfer prospect ranked No. 470 overall and No. 33 among offensive tackle s in the portal, per On3's rankings.
This commitment marks the second transfer acquisition for UNC coach Bill Belichick and his staff, bringing their total transfer haul to 11, including three other offensive linemen. The Tar Heels' first portal collection of the Belichick era ranks No. 34 in the country and No. 5 in the ACC, per 247Sports
