Former prime ministers have lined up together for the accession of King Charles III.

The UK currently has six living former prime ministers – Boris Johnson, Theresa May, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and John Major – for the first time. The proclamation was signed by members of the Privy Council including William, the new Prince of Wales, Camilla, the Queen Consort, Lord President of the Council Penny Mordaunt and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
