A stalwart Penn State defender from 2011-2014 has signed on with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Former Penn State safety and now Jacksonville Jaguar Adrian Amos looks over practice on April 13, 2022. Joe Hermitt | [email protected] after legendary Penn State defensive back Grant Haley announced his retirement from football, another famous former Nittany Lion defensive back found a new home to continue his NFL career.
In Jacksonville, Amos will reunite with safety Darnell Savage, whom he played alongside for four seasons with the Green Bay Packers. And though Amos’ time in the blue and white came before them, there are three other former Nittany Lions on the Jaguars’ roster: cornerback Amani Oruwariye, wide receiver Parker Washington and tight end Brenton Strange.
Amos began his professional career with the Chicago Bears, where he stayed for four seasons and earned an NFL All-Rookie Team selection. He then moved on to the Green Bay Packers for four years and wound up splitting last season between the Houston Texans and New York Jets.
