Liam Payne, the 31-year-old former member of the British boy band One Direction, tragically passed away on Wednesday evening following a fall from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Former One Direction star Liam Payne would have been found near the pool area of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday evening. Payne, 31, allegedly fell from the third floor of CasaSur Palermo Hotel shortly after 5pm local time, with his body reportedly found in an internal courtyard. Photos of the hotel, where rooms cost upwards of $A400 a night, show balconies overlooking a small pool and deck area. There also appears to be a lower al fresco dining area below the deck.
According to La Nacion the local police station was called by the hotel manager who reported “an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol”. The fall was reportedly 13m to 14m and Payne suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life”. Emergency services can be seen outside the hotel, where a red tent is set up around the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
