Arnold entered the transfer portal after spending two seasons at Oklahoma
Arnold officially entered the portal on Monday, following two seasons at Oklahoma. On Tuesday, 247Sports was first to report that Arnold is expected to visit Auburn.
The Tigers have emerged as a clear early team to watch with the former top-10 overall recruit. He made nine starts for OU this year.…The visit is reportedly scheduled for Thursday. Mississippi State is the other big school to watch for Arnold, as he has a connection with head coach Jeff Lebby dating back to their time spent together at Oklahoma in 2023.
He ran the ball more in the second half of the year, finishing the season with 444 rushing yards and three touchdowns. His most notable rushing performance came in Oklahoma’s upset win over Alabama where he ran for 131 yards on 25 carries. If Arnold does choose Auburn, he likely won’t be the only quarterback Hugh Freeze and the staff sign in the portal.Freeze said on signing day that he plans to carry four scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, meaning Auburn would have to sign two via the portal.
The other name to watch is Stanford transfer Ashton Daniels. He’s another dual threat quarterback who rushed for 669 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. Daniels also threw for 1,700 yards with 10 passing touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2024.If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
