Former Ohio State guard Mike Conley has been named the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year.

Former Buckeye turned Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Mike Conley was named the NBA's Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year.Conley receives the honor that recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on & off court leadership as a mentor & role model to other NBA players, & commitment & dedication to team.Playing in his 17th NBA season – each of which he's been a starter in – Conley has posted 11.4 points and a team-high 5.

It's Conley's leadership and selfless nature that landed him the Teammate of the Year Award, however. He's proved as much about his character in the past, winning the NBA's Sportsmanship Award a record four times. In terms of his play, Conley was named an All-Star in 2021. At Ohio State, Conley was a member of one of the more legendary Buckeye teams of all time, the 2006-07 national runner-up squad led by three freshmen who were first-round picks in the 2007 NBA draft. Those freshmen included Conley, center Greg Oden and guard Daequan Cook. Conley averaged 11.3 points and a team-high 6.1 assists per game that season.
