Seth Towns enters the transfer portal after missing the 2021-22 season with injury and stepping away from the Ohio State program ahead of this past season.
The Columbus native and Ivy League Player of the Year at Harvard, who transferred to Ohio State ahead of the 2020-21 season, entered the transfer portal Monday.
A familiar name entered the portal earlier this evening, per source: Seth Towns. Hasn't played since 2020-21 season with Ohio State, has missed three entire seasons with knee and back injuries over course of his career. First played college hoops in 2016 at Harvard. 2018 Ivy POY.The Northland High School alum enjoyed breakout success in his second season at Harvard before knee injuries cost him his next two full seasons.
But Towns never played in another game for Ohio State. After undergoing back surgery the following preseason, Towns missed the entire 2021-22 season. Then this past September, Towns announced he was"stepping away" from the Ohio State basketball program, citing "a few setbacks this summer and some tough conversations with my coaches and medical personnel."
