A former Northern Territory Labor MP has launched an extraordinary attack on the current territory government, which he was part of just five years ago. Scott McConnell was elected to the NT Parliament at the 2016 election that brought the current Labor government to power – then under First Minister Michael Gunner.
The Alice Springs resident served as a Labor member for Stuart – a seat covering a massive 383,000 square kilometres of the territory, which has now been replaced by Gwoja – until he quit the party in 2019
