DALLAS , Texas - A former NFL tight-end reportedly spent Sunday morning in jail after an argument at a 7-Eleven location.39-year-old Brandon Pettigrew, who formerly played as a tight-end for the Detroit Lions, was arrested after he punched and broke a glass door during an argument with police. Per the outlet, it happened at approximately 2 a.m. at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Dallas , Texas .

TMZ Sports reported that an exchange involving Pettigrew and several other individuals became heated. Per the outlet, the 39-year-old struck a glass door with a right hook, which caused it to shatter. Authorities took out tasers in response, but Pettigrew was ultimately taken into custody peacefully, according to TMZ.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, a representative with the Dallas Police Department said Pettigrew was taken to the Dallas County Jail and charged with criminal mischief and later released from custody at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Back in 2017, Pettigrew was taken into custody for his alleged participation in a disturbance at a bar, per TMZ, which reported that he was also arrested after allegedly striking an officer following a dispute regarding an unpaid limousine bill.
