A warrant was issued Wednesday for Brown's arrest following an incident on earlier this week during which a moving truck driver was allegedly assaulted at NFL free agent wide receiver's home in Hollywood, Florida.

Christian Lata, the public information officer for the Hollywood Police Department in Florida, said the warrant was “the safest way’’ to take Brown into custody and that he expected Brown would comply with the warrant.
When police arrived at Brown’s house Wednesday to investigate the alleged incident, they arrested Glenn Holt, Brown’s trainer, who was charged with burglary and battery. But Brown refused to cooperate with police that day, according to Lata. “Antonio Brown actually ran into his house and locked the door and closed the door,’’ Lata said. “He went into his house and just stayed inside the house and wouldn’t come out.’’Officers reached Brown by phone that day, according to Lata.Police gathered further evidence from witnesses and the alleged victim before successfully obtaining an arrest warrant for Brown.
Lata said he thinks officers have been in contact with an attorney representing Brown and that Holt, who has been released following his arrest, also is trying to assist with the situation.
