The party is described as an alternative to the current South African political landscape.
Rise Mzansi officially launched on Wednesday at the Constitutional Court in Braamfontein.
In its first statement, the party said Wednesday’s launch comes after two years of consultations with communities across the country.Among the noticeable faces for the newly formed Rise Mzansi is former Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament, Makashule Gana and apartheid activist, Ishmael Mkhabela.
Gana said they want to appeal to people like him, who come from disadvantaged communities but were able to make something of themselves.Songezo Zibi, former news editor, is today launching his new political party Rise Mzansi at the Constitutional Hill.
