Former MSNBC host TiffanyDCross has reportedly hired a lawyer following the network's decision to cancel her show. MariaLeaf reports.

Cross, who used to host the weekend show The Cross Connection, was told earlier this month that her show was being canceled and that her staff would work elsewhere within the network.Following the announcement, Cross posted a statement on Instagram saying she was"disheartened" by the decision, since she says her show was the highest-rated weekend program on the network.

"It is my hope that the last two years at MSNBC have been disruptive and transformative, changing how politics are discussed and making policy more digestible," Cross wrote."Political violence is increasing and it's becoming inherently more difficult to speak the truth. But, after more than 20 years in Journalism, I will not stop." Now, Cross appears to have hired Bryan Freedman, according to the New York Post. Previously, he represented Megyn Kelly when she sued NBC.

Kelly was also quick to respond to the news Cross was let go, calling her the “most racist person in all of television.”Cross isn't the only on-air talent to be dismissed from the NBC News family as of late. Shepard Smith was also recently let go from CNBC after two years. That move was made in an effort to"refocus on business and market coverage," the network said in a statement.
