Update: Former MMA star Cain Velasquez arrested after shooting in South San Jose
South Bay-based mixed-martial arts star Cain Velasquez was arrested Monday after a shooting that injured a man on the outskirts of South San Jose, according to law-enforcement sources and jail records.
The shooting happened shortly before 3:15 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Monterey Highway and Bailey Avenue, according to a tweet by the San Jose Police Department. One man was hospitalized, and he is expected to survive.
