He believes that the GST can prevent the increasing prices of goods due to ineffective taxation systems. Ismail Sabri stated that the GST is proven to be more transparent and beneficial for the government's fiscal standing . When asked why the GST wasn't reintroduced during his tenure, he mentioned that the matter was already discussed by the Cabinet .
