A Malaysian organization argues that former Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak was denied a fair trial and should be released from prison.

KUANTAN: The failure to comply with the ' rule of law ' and due legal process has denied the former Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the right to a fair trial. Haslihelmy DM Zulhasli, President of the Pahang Children's Voice Organization (PSAP), said that although the former Prime Minister has undergone a legal process patiently despite the hurdles and hardships, he has been denied a fair trial.

Haslihelmy fully supports the recent statement by Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, Member of the PAS Central Working Committee, who stated that Najib should be granted full freedom, not just the remainder of his sentence at home. He also reiterated PSAP's stance, aligning with the view of Datuk Abdul Rahman Sebli, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, who opined that a just decision for Najib would be acquittal due to miscarriage of justice and denial of a fair trial. Haslihelmy said in a statement today that PSAP consistently upholds the 'rule of law' and legal processes. If adhering to the principle of 'rule of law', PSAP believes and trusts that 'Bossku' would certainly be released, but the opposite has happened. In a Facebook post, Nik Mohamad Abduh argued that Najib should be given full freedom, not just serve the remainder of his sentence at home. Nik Mohamad Abduh, a member of the PAS Central Working Committee, maintained his stance that Najib faced a 'crooked' trial because the former UMNO President was not given the right to defend himself fully. In the last Parliament session, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed that he had raised the issue of Najib's Titah Adendum for consideration by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, as the Chairman of the Pardons Board
