Jamal Simmons recommended on Sunday that Biden step down to make Harris the first woman president, 'being a transitional figure.'
Jamal Simmons, former Vice President Kamala Harris' communications director, called for President Joe Biden to resign and make her the president within the next month, during an appearance on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday morning.Simmons has worked for several Democratic politicians, including then-Governor Bill Clinton's presidential campaign and Al Gore's, among others, and served as deputy director of communications for the Democratic National Committee .
The new administration will take office on January 20, 2025.Simmons added that the move 'would dominate the news at a point where Democrats have to learn drama and transparency and doing things that the public wants to see, this is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate,' the communications aide said.
