A former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has weighed in on Bafana Bafana midfielder Ayanda Patosi being linked with Amakhosi as the Khayelitsha-born player is likely to return to the DStv Premiership in his next move.
Despite doing well for himself abroad on and off the field where he is plying his trade at Iranian outfit Foolad, Patosi is eyeing a move back to Mzansi due to family reasons. After recently being linked with Orlando Pirates as his representatives are looking for the best possible deal for him, the 29-year-old player’s name has also been mentioned in the same line as rivals Kaizer Chiefs, as reported in edition 1255 of Soccer Laduma.
Patosi is now eligible to sign a pre-contract with any club, as his deal with Foolad will come to an end in June. “For creativity, the boy is one player that Chiefs need to add to their midfield because he is very good and is experienced. He is skilful and is a good passer of the ball which I think is what Chiefs need right now instead of playing with defensive midfielders,” former Chiefs midfielder Humphrey Mlwane commented.“What I also like about the boy is that he has a good eye for scoring goals and can add value at Chiefs.
