Denise Lodge, the wife of a former Harvard morgue director, pleaded guilty in federal court for stealing body parts from her husband's workplace and selling them online. The stolen human remains included heads, hands, and feet.

The wife of a former Harvard morgue director pleaded guilty this week in federal court for allegedly stealing body parts from her husband's place of work and selling them to people online.
Her husband Cedric Lodge was the former director of the Anatomical Gift Program at Harvard Medical School and is among several people charged in connection to the case.that the Lodges participated in the scheme from 2018 to 2022. The release says some of what Scott stole included the corpses of two stillborn babies who were supposed to be cremated and returned to their families, hearts and brains. She sold remains to Pauley and shipped them to Pennsylvania.
The arrest of a man in Kentucky with human remains in July 2023 also helped reveal new information about Pauley's involvement in the scheme.in his home. Authorities said the skulls were decorated around the furniture, one skull had a head scarf wrapped around it, and one skull was located on the mattress where Nott slept.
