A former Harris County commissioner is voluntarily dismissing a lawsuit accusing Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioners Court of violating state law when they approved a new redistricting map in October.
Former Precinct 3 commissioner Steve Radack, a Republican, argued the commissioners violated the Open Meetings Act because they did not make public the map that ultimately was approved within 72 hours of the meeting.Ex-Harris County commissioner sues Judge Lina Hidalgo over redistricting meeting
Taylor said he and Radack were pausing the legal challenge while they determine the next steps in Cagle and Ramsey's lawsuit.
