Ricardo Pepi signs with Dutch club PSV on five-year contract after spending last season on loan with FC Groningen
He played last season on loan for Dutch club FC Groningen, but was contracted to FC Augsburg in Germany. PSV paid Augsburg €10 million for the 20-year-old striker, and his contract will last until June 2028.
Pepi scored 12 goals in the Eredivisie for Groningen last season after being loaned out in late August. Despite his efforts, Groningen was relegated at the end of the season, finishing last in the Eredivisie.An El Paso native, Pepi joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2016 as a 13-year-old, and signed a homegrown player contract in 2019.Get the latest D-FW sports news, analysis, scores and more.
