A 51-year-old former elementary school teacher was arrested Friday and booked into Whatcom County jail after officials found probable cause of child rape.
BELLINGHAM, Wash. —
The investigation began on May 19 when Child Protective Services reported abuse of juveniles by the Blaine woman, deputies said. The sheriff’s office told KOMO News the woman knew the minors, but didn’t say how or what their relationship was. A vile of prescription pills were found on the former teacher when she was searched during her arrest, the WCSO said. The prescription was not hers and was a Schedule V controlled substance. Schedule V drugs are typically used for “antidiarrheal, antitussive, and analgesic purposes,” according to the DEA.
