Former East Cleveland Police Chief Kenneth Lundy’s actions represent a complete abuse of power and betrayal of the public’s trust. We will hold anyone who engages in public corruption fully accountable.”Lundy is accused of having an intimate relationship with a witness to a homicide and using that relationship to “pressure, intimidate, and provide financially” for the witness to implicate Jerry Sims in the homicide.This conviction has since been vacated and the witness, Erica Campbell, was indicted with one count of perjury.Lundy is accused of “significantly” reducing charges against a drug suspect in exchange for $10,000.Lundy had a suspect arrested for drug activity and possession to pay him $10,000 in exchange for “significantly” reduced charges.From Aug. 28, 2018 to Sept. 14, 2028, Lundy allegedly requested $3,000 from the ECPD’s Trust account as investigative buy money; however, O’Malley said the money was deposited into Lundy’s personal bank account.
