Duke basketball great JJ Redick must have interest in becoming an NBA head coach, as he's set to formally talk with the Charlotte Hornets about their opening.
In his days as a Duke basketball superstar, JJ Redick was one of the most hated men in America. The All-American became one of the best Blue Devils in program history, continuing on for a 15-year career in the NBA before retiring following the 2020-21 season.
On Monday, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the former Blue Devil is set to interview for the Charlotte Hornets' head coaching job.. The 15-year NBA veteran and former Duke star has shown an interest in making a coaching jump in recent years.The 39-year-old has publicly expressed an interest in coaching in the past, despite admitting on his podcast that his only coaching experience lies on his son’s AAU team.
