Bo Hines , a former college football player who twice ran for a North Carolina House seat, has been appointed as the executive director of his newly created Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets , also known as the “crypto council.” Hines will work with David Sacks, the “Crypto Czar,” to foster innovation and growth in the digital assets space.

The council, composed of industry luminaries, aims to create an environment where the crypto industry can flourish and remain a cornerstone of the nation’s technological advancement. Hines, a 29-year-old North Carolina native, previously ran for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District in 2022 and 6th Congressional District in 2024. He expressed excitement about serving in President-elect Donald Trump’s second administration and collaborating with brilliant minds to ensure the industry’s continued success
