It was not immediately clear whether Lopez’s resignation occurred before or after he was arrested Thursday.LAPD did not immediately provide Lopez’s age and length of employment at the department. It was not immediately clear how LAPD learned of the allegations against Lopez or when the alleged incident occurred.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney is set to make filing considerations Monday, April 24 after reviewing the case, the release said.
