A former Bothell City Council member was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a 20-year-old woman was found dead inside a south Seattle home.
by Hannah Knowles and KOMO News StaffFILE – The Seattle Police Department emblem is seen on the side of a patrol vehicle downtown. , officers responded to a report of a "possible homicide” just before 4 p.m. at a home on the 4600 block of South Orchard Street in the city’s Brighton neighborhood.
The City of Bothell has been made aware of the recent arrest in Seattle of James McNeal, a former Bothell City Councilmember. Mr. McNeal’s term ended on December 31, 2023. For all inquiries regarding this incident, please contact the Seattle Police Department. According to court documents, a lawyer representing McNeal called 911 from outside the home Tuesday to report "what is a likely homicide."
