The designation allowed the Broncos to bring center Luke Wattenberg back from injured reserve. After starting Denver’s first 15 games of the 2025 season, Wattenberg missed the final two regular-season games and last week’s playoff victory because of a shoulder injury.Although Nix played two snaps with the injury before a field goal ended the contest, the quarterback had surgery on Tuesday.The Broncos and Patriots square off at 2 p.m. CST Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
