Six-time Major League All-Star and New Braunfels Canyon alum Lance Berkman returned to high school and had his number 23 jersey retired.
Berkman graduated from New Braunfels Canyon High School in 1994 and then went on to play 15 seasons in the big leagues with the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers.
