Arizona State quarterback Jaden Rashada warms up prior to an NCAA college football game against Oklahoma State Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, in Tempe, Ariz. Jaden Rashada, the former Arizona State quarterback whose reported NIL deal with Florida made headlines, has landed back in the SEC.Originally from California, Rashada committed to Miami during the summer prior to his senior year of high school before flipping to Florida in November 2022.
The NIL reportedly fell through, however, and Rashada was released from his Letter of Intent with the Gators . He landed at Arizona State, where he completed 44 of 82 passes for 485 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions in three games as a true freshman while dealing with a knee injury .
Rashada sat out the spring while recovering from offseason thumb surgery, and entered the transfer portal earlier this month. He joins a Georgia program that already has three former 4-star recruits at quarterback: senior returning starter Carson Beck, redshirt sophomore Gunner Stockton and true freshman Ryan Puglisi.
