He was just 42-years-old.

Galloway spent four years at Alabama, playing sparingly behind star Shaun Alexander, during his freshman season. But he ran for 659 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore in 2000, and 881 yards and six more scores as a junior. He suffered a knee injury against Southern Mississippi early in his senior season that cost him that year.

Still, Galloway finished with 1,830 yards and 17 touchdowns with the Tide, and showed enough that the Denver Broncos picked him in the seventh round, 235th overall, in the 2003 draft. Galloway sat out that 2003 season while rehabbing his knee, and was then traded to the San Diego Chargers prior to the 2004 campaign.
