La Joya Community High School hosted their senior tradition, “Senior Sunrise." Groups of students sat in the stands while some took the field for Friday Morning Fever.“I just want to go home and play Fortnite,” wide receiver Edward Garcia told 12News reporter Jen Wahl.
If you’re cracking up over Garcia’s honesty, you’re not alone: ESPN thought the high schooler’s comment was pretty funny, too. So funny they even made a TikTok about it that has 1.9 million views so far,Garcia and the rest of the La Joya Community High School football team are playing Seaton Catholic on Friday evening at home. Let’s hope the fun continues for these high school athletes and that Garcia does get to go home and just play Fortnite.
