Latest Nottingham Forest opinion as the Reds sit in the Premier League relegation zone but have some reason for optimism
The Reds sit third from bottom and a point from safety, uncertain whether their four-point deduction for breaching financial rules will be lifted. Forest will appeal the punishment but the outcome may not be resolved until after the season ends on May 19.
Palace have also struggled badly in 2024, with the Eagles winning just twice since Janaury. Fulham, meanwhile, may have beaten the Reds 5-0 earlier this season, but their away record is poor having won just twice on the road this season in the league. If Forest are able to win one of their next two games, there is a reasonable chance they could move out of the bottom three, provided Luton do not secure a shock win in the capital. Rob Edwards' team will then have an opportunity to strike back when they host Bournemouth, whilst Forest travel to Spurs on the same weekend.
