A witness said the door shutters appeared to have been 'rammed into'

Forensics scoured a scene for evidence after an 'aggravated burglary' at a Tesco supermarket. Police attended the incident at the superstore in Sale in the early hours of Monday morning .

A number of police vehicles were pictured at the scene as the glass doors were boarded up and cordoned off. Police were called out at around 1am to reports of the aggravated burglary at the shop on Hereford Street. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, with police investigations ongoing. A witness said the door shutters appeared to have been 'rammed into'.A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 1am on Monday 10 June 2024, our officers received reports of an aggravated burglary taking place on Hereford Street in Sale, Trafford.

"No arrests have been made at this time, but an investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information or details that may help, they are encouraged to contact 101 quoting incident 114 of 10/06/2024." A Tesco spokesperson added: “Our Sale Superstore is open to customers although an alternative entrance is being used while the main entrance is being repaired after an incident. We’re sorry for the inconvenience."
