Holidaymakers have been warned about Storm Oscar
The summer holidays are fast approaching and soon thousands of Glaswegians will be jetting off to sunny Spain.
The UK Foreign Office has issued a warning about Storm Oscar, advising people to be wary of the adverse weather conditions and follow the advice of the local authority, reports the Daily Record.The Canary Islands are likely to be worst hit by the storm, as well as Madeira, Porto Santo and the Azures in Portugal. There are several weather warnings in place for this week.
The FCDO advises Brits to check with their tour operator before travel. It states: "You should check with your tour operator or accommodation provider before you travel and follow the instructions of local authorities."
