The North Bay is expected to see the most precipitation, but the South and East Bay could see at least some rainfall.
Despite blue skies in many parts of the Bay Area, residents can still expect a small amount of rainfall by the end of Thursday paired with cool temperatures as a cold front enters the Bay Area and settles in Friday.
The East and South bay regions can still expect light rainfall, but not as much as is expected in the North Bay, Sarment said. The East Bay has a “somewhat better chance,” but still should not expect more than a few hundredths of an inch, she added. In San Jose, there are chances for showers throughout Thursday, but the forecast dries up Friday and Saturday, Sarment said. There will be another chance for rain on Sunday afternoon and into Monday morning. All rainfall will likely yield “very light totals,” Sarment said.
East Bay temperatures are also dipping down with the incoming cold front. In Oakland, highs will sit in the mid 60s and lows in the low to mid 40s through the weekend, Sarment said. Inland, Pleasanton will see the “same story with the rain,” paired with highs in the low 60s through the weekend and lows dipping into the high 30s on Friday night. Other nights can expect lows in the low 40s.In Walnut Creek, highs will sit in the low 60s and lows will also dip into the high 30s to low 40s, she said.
