Ford has been pilot testing self-driving vehicles in Miami and Washington, D. C., and now it plans to bring its autonomous technology to Austin in 2021.
... [+]Approximately 100 people move into the Austin area each day, and as you can imagine, this population explosion causes a lot of traffic. That’s one of the reasons Ford has announced it’s brining its self-driving vehicles to the city in 2021.
“Our strategy is to have some segments moving people and a version of the purpose-built vehicle moving goods,” says Marakby. “Autonomous vehicles can help a city or it can hurt a city depending on how you approach it,” he explains.
