Ford Motor Co.’s F Lincoln brand issued a recall for 142,734 Lincoln MKC vehicles, model year 2015 to 2019, due to a risk of fire, according to a Friday report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration . The recall comes as the battery monitor sensor in the vehicles may short-circuit and overheat, which could cause a fire in the engine compartment, while the vehicle is parked or driving. Lincoln is aware of 19 potentially related reports of fires, in the U.S.
