Ford Is back to building the F-150 Lightning after retooling.

That sort of lag time wasn’t doing the Lightning any favors, so Ford slowed deliveries over the summer in the hopes of increasing overall production capacity. . Ford is also training 1200 new employees slated to join the production line. The facility is now scheduled to produce some 70,000 F-150 Lightnings during the 2023 calendar year. A Ford spokesperson toldFord also said that the improvements at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center will allow an annualized production of 150,000 units, which is three times the plant’s initial capacity.
